Tips Set meals with biryani rice are available here. Things to expect South and North Indian fusion cuisine. Air-conditioned restaurant. Picture is for 2 pax and total RM It was really good for breakfast. Good dim sum in Malacca – there is a short wait as quite busy but the turn over is fast so not too long.
Good price and tasty dishes. Friendly staff can speak English so no worry for any tourist. Slide 1 of 3. But, what is special about Mee Goreng Hassan is that it serves simple fried noodle with a sunny-side-up egg and special homemade sambal tumis on its side that keeps people coming back for more!. The stall is only open for breakfast and some nights though, and be prepared for the crowd as it is also a hit with the locals!.
Halal status: Muslim-owned Opening hours: Mon-Wed; 7. Their Mee Bodoh Stupid Noodles are made with a few ingredients of yellow noodles, bean sprouts and their homemade specialty sambal.
From Rm1. Always many customers need to que for dine in. Small food restaurant. Only served «mee bodo» which is a plain fried noodle along with oily fried eggs, cucumber and chili paste.
The price is a little expensive with a small portion of noodles. The taste is normal, no wow factor. Who does not like the oily food and «kapur» taste in fried noodles does not recommend to come here. Well, the place is viral but i find it somewhat too basic. I guess its a personal opinion on whether the mee served is of quality. As the name suggests «mi bodoh», it is what it is. Just plain noodle with just taugeh. Nothing else in it. Pair it with egg fried in its famous sambal.
Without it, ur mee is just too plain and bland. They also serve nasi lemak which I find very tasty. The rice is very fragrant and the sambal is just right. For RM2. When in the historical city of Melaka, it is very common that one would have a craving for certain types of food. With the cultural melting pot that is Melaka, you can get anything from Peranakan to Portuguese cuisine within the city. Perfect place to have a nice Indian breakfast. My waiter was super friendly and helpful.
I haven’t been here for so long. This used to be the best South Indian food in Melaka town. The restaurant is run systematically now, with the restaurant being expanded to a bigger size, it can certainly cater to a larger number of customers.
As usual, it offers a wide selection of vegetables and meat varieties for banana leaf meals. Waiters are friendly and helpful. However, one downside, food is served cold. If you are at Malacca town and want to have delicious Indian cuisines, then this restaurant is highly recommendable. Personally, I really love their banana leaf meals and mutton pirattal.
All travel reservations in 1 place Never dig through your emails again — access all your flights, lodging, and any reservations in 1 place. It is a classic looking restaurant, with banquet tables and framed pictures all over, and with many seating arrangements so crowds are almost never a problem here.
I like the food Food was expensive, portion was small, and quality was decent questionable whether it has been microwaved since curry was like glue and meat was dry and chewy. But the crisps were nice. I would suggest to look for different restraunt. The quantity of the food is very less for what you pay.
I mean very very less. It’s not worthy for the money you pay. It’s not even sufficient for one person. If the owner is reading this, please read all the Google review comments. Everyone complain about the quantity of the food. Try to improve. We recommend getting their famous Banana Left Ricewith Curry, which is a staple for people dining here.
We had breakfast here on our visit. Rava thosai and cow’s milk coffee. We asked for some chicken curry and to our surprise the worker gave us a bowl of chicken curry, very generous not like KL. The curry was super delicious. Great experience here, enjoyed the masala tea, masala tosai, banana leaf rice added on some chicken and fish, and the rasam.
It tasted delicious and healthy. The price are worthy as well. Their Nyonya cuisine dishes are a hit among the tourists as well as the locals. Fortunately made reservations a day before. But the food taste dropped… quite disappointing.
Only paitee n sambal fried rice Stl nice. Came for ondeh also sold out ald… hope next time will have improvement. Cendol n Pai tee must try! I used to frequent this joint when it was off jonker st. It has since moved to a bigger and nicer premises. First time trying it here.
Expect to wait long if you are not early. Only a couple of dishes stood out. Ngoh hiang had a smooth texture and nicely spiced. Soup was interesting. Beef rendang was too tough. Buah Ayam keluah was not bad. Crispy squid was alright. Not the best. But this is not Nonya food. Nice overall but not impressed. We Ordered few things very uniquely available to the Peranakan community.
And last is chicken rendang. The chicken rendang is rather disappointing we thought it should come with more spices but it lacks or spice anyhow. This shop is equipped with credit card payment options, only Amex is not accepted.
VISA and Master all boleh. But if you are new to these dishes, and just want to try, they are one of the finest in Melaka. Overall the damage for three person ordering these foods is about RM Not too expensive nor cheap. Mentioned on 2 lists. If you wish to try some amazing Peranakan food in Melaka, then you have come to the right place. This humble street restaurant serves some delicious and spicy food.
The owner of this place is a chatty and friendly which adds to the ambience of this place. Wanderlog: Best Indian foods and restaurants in Melaka. First time here for dinner with my family. We enjoyed all the dishes that we ordered. Started with Pai Tee as appetizer.
The prawns and fish are fresh. Food is sweet even the curry chicken is sweet. I prefer savory for spicy foods. Average, nothing special. But not worth the price it charges.
Got much better places to eat nyonya food. Service is good. Service: Good, they accept walk-in if there’s table available provided you are persons, big group do make reservation as tables are limited Price: Good as portion quite big, ordered 3 dishes with rice, 1 cendol, cost around RM due to asam fish follows market price around RM50 Taste: towards sweet but not savoury, not to my liking but acceptable.
Don’t need to wait long for all dishes to be served. Environment: family friendly, getting noisy when they served large group. This satay restaurant in Melaka has been around for a very long time and makes the satays in the traditional style. Their sauce is a perfect blend of sweet and sour and goes along with the lightly smoked taste of the satay.
This place has so many fans among the locals as well as the tourists that it can get pretty crowded so it will be best to reach here a bit early.
External is crispy and internal is soft. Of course not only internal parts, also have normal satay such as pork and chicken. For the onion and cucumber have to order separately, not included together with satay. The sauce originally include with chilli sauce inside, if u do not eat spicy, might need request earlier to them.
Suitable for whole family to go enjoy together. Just 3-star as we still think Beh Lai is much better. The 3rd star is secured by the sauce, which has more pineapple presence, which we do not mind, but they fail to control the consistency. The roasting of the stay, beh lai wins hands down.
The sauce here has more pineapple, and thus makes the sauce a bit diluted. For that, we cannot fault Sun May Hiong as this could be their signature and their clients comes for this sauce. Therefore, with just the sauce to support, we give our preference to Beh Lai where roasting and sauce is heavenly.
Verdict: Do we recommend this place? Only if you are in the vicinity and like pineapple presence more in the sauce, which is more diluted.
Else, if want heavenly satay, there are better ones at cheaper price. Came just for the Pork Satay cause you don’t find it often in KL.
Their satay is has great aroma with its turmeric spices while peanut sauce is great. Even way cheaper than KL that you could order more portions. Perfect for road trips See time and distance between places, and optimize your route to get the most of your day. Hamburger restaurant.
If you are a burger freak, then this should be your go-to place for food in Melaka. This place is known for its tasty gourmet burgers. They also serve a variety of alcoholic beverages and coffees to go along with your burger. This place is a must visit in Malecca!!! We went for breakfast. Immediately we were amazed by the greens and natural lights inside. Super cozy and great music of choice. Staff friendly but hard to grab at times.
Food was delicious. We got the chicken salad and aloha burger with pork belly. Both really nice. Drinks were nice too. Definitely will try to visit in the evenings. Gorgeous place! Really unique decor. However, it takes a long time to get served even water and their burgers are just average. Quite thick buns and no questions about how one prefers their meat cooked.
Had a kumquat lemonade, but personally didn’t like the flavour, it rather tasted like sweetener, not sugar. Mochito was quite delicious, but really small. The burgers with sweet potato fries were really good.
The fudge brownies too. Cozy, natural interior. Lots of greenery around and natural lighting. Even the path to the washroom behind is aesthetic. Better to make a booking in advance because it’s quite popular. Another seafood restaurant and this one too is rumoured to be very good.
Apart from seafood, their Bitter Gourd Pork ribs are also worth a try. This tasty but small place does have less capacity and it is therefore a good idea to reserve a table. Good food, but pricey. Service used to be bad, but they have improved a lot. I should say the food is quite good here and the noodles are quite salty. But warning. The person who took our order simply gave us large or extra large portion for all dishes.
We were shocked that she gave us such large portion. The oyster noodles was extra large which the size is not in the menu. My first vegetable dish I told her I want medium and I assumed the rest she will give medium.
Though there are 11 of us, we have young kids. With all large size, the price is also huge. Not worth eating. Wasted my calories. A popular teochew restaurant with great staff service. The food pricing is a bit on the high side but worth it. The food is fantastic too. Please make reservation in advance as the usually it is fully booked and for walk in customer, you may be rejected if their booking is full.
The signature oyster noodle taste good with plump oyster. Stew duck is fat and the meat very tender, the best I had in melaka.
Deep fried prawn roll is crispy with plump large prawn. Ngoh hiang ball is packed with meat but a bit dry. Sweet wine chicken with ginger taste authentic like my mom home cook taste. Golden brick tofu and brocolli with scallop taste good. Yam paste dessert is a favourite among all diner. Sea coconut is ordinary. Chinese noodle restaurant. At this restaurant in Melaka, you can enjoy tasty and crunchy noodles at very reasonable prices.
The prices here ranges from RM 3. Cooked in local herbs, the soup served along with noodles is something to savour. The duck noodle is decent, sause is not very heavy with flavour.
However the braise duck wing is nice and tasty. I tried this because it isnt that common. The dry noodle is alright. If u come for a bowl of noodle, u might be alright with it however if u expect thw noodle to be extraordinary, u might be disappointed.
I gotta say their braised tofu and small intestine are some good stuff man! I could give a 1 star for all the fake 5 star ratings but maybe the taste is just not for me. Not something I’d recommend to others anyway. And the place feels depressing. The Daily Fix Cafe is considered to be among the best cafes of Melaka.
The place is so famous among locals and tourists alike that it gets jam-packed within half an hour of opening. The price ranges between RM 10 to RM Visited this place a while ago, and it was an absolute gem. It’s located inside a store, so you need to actively look for it to find it, but it’s definitely worth it.
We ordered the smoked duck sandwich, and a chicken sandwich for our lunch. We were in a major hurry, and let them know that, and I suspect they did serve us a little faster than they would have otherwise. The food was spectacular. Soft bread, succulent duck, and the perfect condiments, especially the spicy mayo. I’d chosen to go there particularly for their famous pancakes, so even on a time limit we had to have them.
We ordered their pandang pancakes with ice cream, and they were absolutely perfect. Fluffy, and warm with a subtle pandang flavour that we loved. We had to basically stuff our faces with the pancakes as quickly as possible to not miss the next item on our itinerary, but I so wish I could have savoured them peacefully.
Definitely ordering these again next time I’m in town. TDF Cafe offers a variety of options of western cuisines from burgers to pasta and even risotto. The food and beverages are served hastily despite the cafe being packed and they just opened for the day. My family and I are able to enjoy our breakfast in Malacca because of this. Would recommend anyone interested to arrive early as the queue is nonstop!!! The seating is also quite limited here. However, the ambience is the main shining point for this place with traditional and antique items being displayed on the old walls of the store, it really brings out the oldies vibes with the lighting.
Overall great ambience and even amazing food. Only setback is the long waiting period My family was second in line. Totally understand with the lack of staffing and the place being a hit for Instagrammers. Nonetheless, it was worth the wait coz we enjoyed the food and each meal was up to the expectation. The Indian food experience wouldn’t be complete without a yummy serving of banana leaf rice.
Nestled amongst upscale restaurants and cafes in Bangsar, Sri Nirwana Maju is a humble, local Indian eatery offering one of the best banana leaf rice in the city!. Dig into a serving of white rice with three vegetable dishes, curry and papadum, topped off with your desired add-on of chicken, squid or other dishes.
Banana leaf rice is a prominent aspect of the overall Indian food experience in KL. The price went up a lot. Before covid19 usually 2 banana leaf and 2drinks around rm But recently rm as same order.
Even though that I love this restaurant food. Because it’s genuine yammy banana leaf in kl. Can never deny to the taste and flavourful curry they serve on banana leaf. The long queue for lunch and dinner explains the quality of the food served. Unfortunately, the owner has a sour looking face walking up and down staring at each and every customer. Perhaps she needs to put on a smiley to look much happier and presentable.
And the best part of this she literally asked us to get up despite us having unfinished drinks on our table. Not going to come back and will not recommend to my friends. Very good banana leaf curry, I visited when they first opened and there was already a line starting to form.
Had chicken 65 and mutton peratal which were both great. Side vegetables were good too. Would visit again. Staff were okay but didn’t seem overly friendly. Collaborate with friends in real time Plan along with your friends with live syncing and collaborative editing.
American restaurant. A spectacular view of the sea, amazing ambience and really good music, couple all this with good food. Do you really need anything else?. As the name suggests this place is an amazing spot for rock music and live performances. I love the lamb rack, very juicy, fresh and tasty. This restaurant was really good either in terms of their foods, drinks, staff, or location and of course the good ambience too.
No live band at the moment due to C19 hope one day they will have it again. One of the good place to celebrate birthday or anniversary. Its hard rock after all. I was quite disappointed when they served apple juice from the juice box, not from real apples. But the place is quite big and wide, also friendly staff. I mean for taking pictures as one of your experiences is fine, but i think visiting it once in a lifetime is enough. Nothing special. What makes Cendol Kampung Hulu’s version special is the scoop of ice cream that comes with it.
Since it’s situated within Makan Avenue, you can have more than just this sunny day treat! Do remember to park your car at appropriate place. Parking here can be a bit tough due to limited parking spaces available. Cendol is delicious and cheap. Do try the durian cendol. This is a hipster version of cendol gais.
They freeze the cendol, and then they shave it. They were using plastic cup not a bowl. Kinda another version of cendol. Some people may not like it. So be informed. Aside from cendol, there were many stalls around like Tacos, western, pizza, cikitang and etc. The only counter for drinks have limited choice. This is bad. Really really bad for business. Lotsa dining table, cleanliness is ok lah. Might as well dine in at the back of the restaurant, along the riverside.
Nice scenery. Will i ever come again? Not sure. Maybe not in the near future lor. Today many stalls were closed. There were 14 stalls, the open one not even half of it.
To the owner, please focus on everything under your roof especially on hygiene. It is quite hard to get a parking, this is not the ending that good for your business. Many might like your concept and ignore the rest but no for me and maybe for some others.
Your business maybe can sustain, but to bloom and grow, i dont think so. No worries, you can still make money out of it. Good luck. Taste wise, fresh durian and fresh ingredients overall.
However, quantity wise seems to have dropped since the last time I was here in It was more generous back then. But, it still one of the best cendol places around Melaka. This place is one of those quiet corner cafes where you can enjoy some of the best coffee of Melaka while admiring the work of the local artists. Another thing which would attract one to this place is the fact that they offer 13 different coffees from 13 different parts of Malaysia.
Even if you are not a coffee lover do visit this place for its creative and beautiful interior. Better wake up for early Brunch, be there by 11am cause they stop serving their Laksa by am. I got the Melaka Ice blended, guess I have to go there at least 25 more times for the rest non-mixed ones. Place is amazing for hangouts and had history like most places over here.
Guess I’ll see one of you reading this there? The Calanthe Laksa Soup is good, but the noodles and vegetables in it makes it anticlimactic. Would have been nice if its meatier. I ordered Coffee Melaka but the brewer added too much milk, making it not so great. Been here few years ago. Hubby love their laksa. Tried the same this time and yet the taste just the same. Truly delicious. The place decorated with antiques. Staff not so friendly but the food were delicious.
Ordered their ee mee laksa, butter chicken and spices chicken with golden rice. The butter chicken and ee mee laksa were delicious. Their hot chocolate also not bad. And their plus point is sweet sweet sago with gula melaka topped with vanilla ice cream truly remarkable. Beautifully decorated. One of the first restaurants you should definitely drop by while in Melaka is Sharing Plates. This is one of the most raved Halal-certified cafes that checks off both good food and great ambiance.
We were lucky to get a table without too much of a wait, as a long line of patrons formed just after we seated. The meals were of a decent size and quite reasonably priced. Service was quick. I had the signature fried rice which was tasty and extremely filling. The food was good but sadly not as good as the first visit I had here. Perhaps due to public holiday, the kitchen might have a drop of standard.
Nevertheless, food still good. The Crab meat pasta was super garlicky Service wise, it’s super disappointing. Went there and was told needed to wait for one hour. Totally fine since it’s a holiday but things started to go bad when we are the next in line and the server offered someone from outside to sit inside even though they have already found the seats. Apart from that, the service was super slow, as it took us four times to keep asking different waiters about our drinks when we have finished our food.
When ordering, one of the waiter told us he is inexperienced and does not know the difference between the food when we asked him. Overall, food and service are average and hope this feedback is able to enable the managing team to get the team back on track. Food was good. Had to wait for 15 minutes for a table outside because we walked in. Better to make a reservation in advance at least one day in advance.
Ordered the tacos, lamb shoulder best eaten hot , pesto mushroom pizza and crab meat pasta. The lotus root salted egg chips were the bomb. Seafood restaurant. A street-side local place for food in Melaka which looks similar to what Indians refer to as dhaba.
This place is well known for its seafood, good ambience and good-natured co-diners. The prices here are also quite reasonable, the downside though is you might have to wait for as long as 90 minutes. This is a place in Melaka that everyone should not miss.
Recommend to also try their rojak pork and fresh milk crab which are not bad either. The cheese prawn bee hoon is good. The signature milk crab is too sweet. Or most of the other dish is too sweet. Price is on the high side. I would not Q to come again. We reached the restaurant around pm on a weekday and slowly we see people coming in. Overall a good experience here, just the waiter can be more friendlier. My friend recommended me here said that their Mille crepe is the best.
Then I found out it was not up to the expectation, the other foods were just so so. Food still maintained quality n taste But the service And guidance how n wat Got customer sitting there quite sometime only notice need to q outside to order Self service Table availability seek yourself iamchamckosonglover exploringjbkopitiam melaka.
Very bad customer service, store opens at 11 am and they are not accepting dine in order even though there are 3 staffs inside. All they do is do nothing at the counter, letting their customers wait outside the store. Complete with a bar it seems like the perfect example of east meets west decor and interior. Really nice option on Jonker street. Tasty food with a wide range of choices, punchy margueritas, nice decor, ideal location on a corner of Jonker street. Great Vibe.
Had coffee and mocktails. One of the best live performance. Luke I think that’s his name is an amazing singer!! Recommended when he’s around.. Yummy Sateh Auam together with draught Guinness Stout. It’s hard to resist these tiny parcels of savoury delights at Mochee Dim Sum House. Whether you’re a fan of barbecue chicken pau or chicken siew mai, it’ll make a wonderful meal before taking a bite out of their well-loved ice cream mochi.
That’s main course and dessert at one go! Been here twice and both visit did not disappoint. Variety choices of dim sum, noodles and everything nice. I really love the fried ones, so crunchy and yum!! The sets available is super affordable. Will come here again if I crave for dimsum. Such a lovely place. Enjoy the food here very much.
They have singles and sets which is convenient. There’s a bit of a wait time for the food but they were worth it. The dimsums came in steaming and very delicious. So were the fried ones. Had their lo mai kai too and it was good. Would recommend if you are into ginger and soy sauce tastes. Cool ourselves down with some mochis, coconut, mango and peanut.
